We are continually monitoring the coronavirus pandemic. We are following guidelines to make sure we are operating in the safest way for our patients, staff and the wider community. As such we have adapted the ways in which we are working to allow us to continue to offer our services.
When not to come in
If you have had any symptoms of coronavirus in the last 14 days. The main symptoms of coronavirus are:
- high temperature – this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature)
- new, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual)
- loss or change to your sense of smell or taste – this means you’ve noticed you cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal
If you have any of the above symptoms, or have been in close contact with anyone with symptoms do not come in to clinic and make sure you’re self isolating according to government guidance.
How have we changed the way we work?
Here are some of the things we have done to ensure the safest practise for all:
- With your permission, we will check your temperature using an infrared forehead thermometer and welcome you in if the reading is 37.7 degrees or less.
- Once inside you can use our sanitiser or wash your hands.
- We will be wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) including gloves, a mask, apron and glasses when necessary.
- The room will already have been cleaned prior to your arrival.
- The room will be kept well ventilated.
- Payments can be done using contactless methods, or we can send you a payment link to pay when you get home if you don’t want to bring your wallet or purse.
There are plenty of other safety requirements we have considered, and many more that we do on a routine basis anyway, however if you have any queries please get in touch and ask us we will be happy to talk you through anything.
What we need from you
- If possible don’t bring unnecessary people with you into the clinic.
- Please wear a face mask.
- Thoroughly wash your hands (or hand sanitise) when you arrive.
Thank you so much, we look forward to seeing you in clinic.
